ALEDO BAND HISTORY

Established in 1974 by the Aledo Band Boosters, the Aledo Band Program has grown into a comprehensive and thriving part of Aledo ISD. Today, the Aledo High School Band includes over 200 student musicians who participate in a wide range of ensembles, including the marching band, three concert bands, three jazz bands, multiple percussion ensembles, and both varsity and junior varsity color guard programs—each selected through a competitive audition process.

All students are actively involved in the UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest and the NTCA Solo Contest, with many advancing through the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) audition process at the region, area, and state levels. To date, the program has produced over 80 plus Texas All-State Band members.
